Imaimashi Corp. [Private]

Post by Mero on Sun Apr 08, 2012 5:41 pm

In the midst of the rebellion Nagasaki had fallen to pieces. The city had a constant darkness shrouded over it which made the streets cold and inhabitable. Most people had moved on from the city, refusing to live in such an environment. Others stayed and live in the darkness. They endured poverty and harsh conditions, but that was over four years ago. Now Nagasaki stood in its former glory. The darkness had dissipated and Nagasaki's people flooded back into the streets. In the middle of the city stood Imaimashi Corp. and my place of business.

Imaimashi Corp. was the centre of this city's economy. It ruled and watched over this city, for without it, Nagasaki would suffer greatly. I was at the top of the corporation. I was the heir to all of Imaimashi's companies. My father had put me in charge of one of the largest which happened to be the one that resided in Nagasaki.

However I hadn't been in the city, for over four years. I was ashamed to admit that fact, because I had left just after the rebellion broke Nagasaki. I had left all the people and problems behind. I had left everyone to suffer. I knew people were angry with the company- more me then the company though. I understood why, hell I didn't blame them.

I walked through the streets, looking at all the people and shops around. Everything was so busy and lively, and this made me smile. Hardly any people looked my way as I passed through the city, and I was slightly relieved that I wasn't recognized. After a whiles journey I had made my way to Imaimashi Corps. steps. I tilted my head skywards and admired how sharp the building now looked.

After a moment of looking upwards with my mouth agape, I proceeded inside. Once in the receptionist glanced my way and nearly fell back and out of her chair. I chuckled at my friends reaction as I walked over to the elevator.

"Are you back for good Miss?" I heard her ask.
"I'm back" I answered, not making a promise to stay forever.

I stepped inside the elevator and waited for it to close it's doors. I let it take me up to the 27th floor, where I got off and walked down a small hallway. After arriving at its end I pushed through the two, large, oak doors and waltz into the room that lay behind it.

"Gentlemen I have returned".

The men in the room turned to face in my direction, each wearing a different look. Some looked shocked, others angry, and some even looked glad to see me. I smiled kindly, although the smile held a threatening undertone.

"What have we been up to lately?" I asked casually.

The man who sat in the seat at the head of the table stood up slowly. He cleared his throat and with a menacing tone he told me to 'kindly get the fuck out'.

I smiled at his demand, and walked towards him, never breaking eye contact.

"And who are you to be telling me such things?"
"I am the new head boss of this particular establishment. Now leave, you have no right in being here!"

I tsked at him and shook my head. At this point I was staring directly beside him.

"You know just as well as I do that that's not an option. So would you please move from my seat?"

He thought a moment then sat down, challenging my authority. This caused me to chuckle. "Good answer" I muttered before grabbing him by the hair and throwing him out of my seat. "Looks like you're being fired".

Scared, he scurried out of the room. By now everyone had developed a less then flattering opinion of me. "Let that be a warning for you all. You don't need to fear me, just never challenge me".

They all shook their heads whilst muttering 'got it's' and 'okays'.

"Now then, someone fill me in. After I'm all caught up we have a certain matter to discuss".

After countless board meetings spread over the course of a week I was caught up to speed on what my company had been doing. I had also debriefed the board members on what our future was going to look like. Imaimashi Corp. was going to fund a secret group of fighters that could serve as protection to the company and the city.

Over the coming months I was to find members to serve in this task force of sorts. I would then take to training them with a new art I had recently come to master. The board members weren't the least bit hesitant when this suggestion was brought up after what happened. Never again would our great industry be brought to its knees.
