Bryant's gloom

Bryant is walking down a lonly road in a dark forest. he wears a black button up shirt that fits loosely over his semi-musculed torso and a pair of plack pants that have torn legs and are held up by black belt with a bronze-silver colored buckle. from time to time a gust of wind will swirl around him caked with a mixture of good and evil energies that do not clash. each gust send dust and leaves every where with each sigh.

Why am i such a useless entity im too scared of offending everyone to have fun

he sighs again and comes to a fork in the road the one on the left leads towards a small village and the one on the right leads to the heart of the forest, whithout even looking up he turns down the right path and sighs again. as he aproaches a dense patch of overgrown trees. he picks his way through them and sits on a boulder just beyond thinking about where he was.

I seemed to be walking down a road peacefully. It had been much long since I remember being picked on by anyone. I was growing stronger and faster. Smarter and everything to me was becoming more mature. Soon my spiritual balance, my senses, started to feel a little funny. I sensed that there was an imbalance somewhere in this area. It was enclosed so it couldn't be far, at least from my perspective of the path. I wondered what it was, it got me curious and so I started to explore. Not before long did I find a boy who seemed lonely all by himself. He seemed submerged in his own sorrowful thoughts and did not feel as though he should move. The boy was stoic as ever, and I wondered if he would ever move. Suddenly I found my feet walking over to him and his stagnant figure, just seeming there unmoved. As he sighed I could only smile slightly and wave to him, speaking softly.

"Hi there."

Bryant's power receededs when he hears Hi there. his expression changes and the energgies emmiting from him stop and he seems powerless. He looks at the newcomer with brown eyes and smiles

hello if this is your spot ill leave.

he stands up and moves away from the boulder with etremely loose movement still faceing the newcomer.

"W-well wait a minute! This isn't my spot, I was just curious as to why you look so lonely."

I said that while reaching out to grab his arm lightly to stop him from moving away from me further. My blue eyes fixated on his brown orbs never moved. They were innocent but pained. I seemed young but smart about me as well. I managed a smile back at his and that was pure of emotion. It had been long since I've seen a smile, so naturally, it would take me time to get used to it once more.

"Well, this may sound strange. But I decided to come over here because I sensed something coming from you. Like a release and an imbalance of energy. I just decided to see what that was about, and I found you. I'm sorry I didn't mean to disturb you."

He looks at his arm and back at the newcomer his eyes flash hazel.

You didnt disturb me.

He looks away and his eyes return to being brown

i really dont know anybody here in this world and i dont want to make enemies. so i have to act differently and not be myself causing my elemental powers to seep out when i am alone.

he sighs again as a small tear forms in his left eye.

"So you're saying you have no friends? Well, I know what that's like, trust me. But through the years, I have made friends and allies of the people I've met. How bout we start again and become friends hm? My name is Utena, Utena Tenjou Magnus. Pleasure to meet you."

And with that I extended my hand for a shake with the fellow. He seemed nice enough although very distant. Maybe, just maybe, he would let me in. All I wanted was a friend, and a good friend I would be.

Bryant turns a bit pink and shakes Utena's hand and replies,

Im Bryant Lennex nice to meet you Utana.

He accedently mispronounced her name and his eyes turn hazel and remain that way. the ominous aura dimmed and he holds himself straiter than before.

"Is there something wrong?"I blinked as I noticed the slight color change in his face. He pronounced my name wrong and eye color told me of his nervousness. I retracted my hand back to my own body and seemed to smile lightly again at him.

"If you're nervous or afraid there is no need to be around me, I'm friendly. And it's U-TENA. But it is a pleasure to meet you Bryant."

sorry im terrible with names, and im not afraid or nervous im actually happier now.

he shakes his head and his face returns to normal.

I seemed to smile once more deeper at him. Then I blinked and decided to discuss the matter of how I stumbled by this very nice man.

"So um. What was that I sensed earlier? Are you some sort of wizard or something?"

He looks at Utena quizzically.

Sort of. I know magic but i dont use it much. i prefer to use my natural energy and a few trick i picked up in my travels. Why do you ask?

"Well it seemed as if you did. From what I sensed on my walk around here. From the imbalance of power of energies I was feeling and the aura I sort of saw distantly around you, I guessed you were some type of magic user."

I scratched the back of my head and smiled in an awkward way. ^^''

im different from anything you know. im not any specific race but a bunch of them mixed together. what you felt was my true ability... to control the power of oposites.

his voice changes and sounds older.

"So I see. That was quite interesting. I don't know what it was, but your power made me curious, so I came to check it out. Well, those mixes are unique. I suppose you're like me than. I don't know how I came to be what I am."

I quickly took a glance at my hands and then folded them into lightly clenched fists before unfolding them and putting them back at my sides.

"Hm, well I haven't had the best of childhoods. That might be a clue as to why my eyes are so painfully stained."

Suddenly, my eyes would not be able to make contact with his anymore. It was strange but it was happening.

I shook my head softly and then looked straight at him, with a slight smile on my face.

"No, no. It's just when I think of the past, for some unknown reason, I feel this agonizing tug at my heart string. It feels as if its a fragile glass screen that could just break in half at the lightest tap. And the worst part is, I don't even know why."

Bryant puts his left hand on Utena's right shoulder. His eyes are still brown.

Do you think your past is worse than you remember and you hid it from yourself to preserve your personality?

I blinked and looked up into his shading brown eyes. I couldn't help but notice they did change with his mood but more importantly they reflected knowledge of things, and sometimes, mostly, that was what I sought.

"Well, no. I don't think that I would've done that since I can't remember my past. I would hide my emotions but not my past. Right now it's more of an opaque blur to me that I can't seem to defog.
