The Trails of a Troubled Mind~ [PRIVATE - Mero and Utena only.]

"What are you waiting for Utena, kill him while you've got the chance" I thought to her, hoping she caught it. She had a great opportunity while he was momentarily disoriented. If she did kill him, this would be all over, but until then I remained ready in case of an opening.

The slash had been dealt. A wound to her arm was all he wanted for now. Raijin slowly wiped the blood off of his tanto and closed his eyes, "You are too slow...Utena." At that moment he had let his guard down, giving Utena's counterpart time to subdue him and keep a sword at his neck. The Uchiha opened his eyes and felt the metal aginst his neck. He watched Utena slowly walk up to him and punch him in the face. Blood leaked out of his nostrils and down to his lip. Despite the hard punch, however, Raijin did not show any sign of pain; He instead chuckled. "You cannot kill me with these kind of attacks..." Mero's yell then caught his attention.

Using the substitution technique, Raijin had replaced his body with a large piece of stone from the castle walls. No longer was he held by the counterpart and in front of Utena. He now stood behind Mero with the Tanto to the back of her neck with his Sharingan watching for the slightest move. "Maybe I should kill you first." The Kyuubi's tails swept across it's own back in an attempt to hit Utena and her counterpart.

I turned around slowly making sure not to alarm him and get a sword stabbed through my throat. "I'd listen to her if I were you" I smiled then kicked upwards, hitting the sword away from my neck. I then followed through by flipping backwards getting away from him.

The Uchiha stood behind Mero, the threats did not unnerve him, they just annoyed him. He began lowering his Tanto, unbeknown to them he did not kill women or children. But the girl wasn't willing to find out about that. She kicked up at the blade. Raijin's Sharingan had caught the muscle activity before she even kicked and so the Uchiha moved to the side, pulling his blade down. Now she kicked at nothing but she did manage to distance herself. "I told you, I am like no other you've fought."

Since the two females on the back were focused on Raijin they were easily distracted. The Kyuubi's tails swept across it's back, toppling anything standing on it. He took this moment to perform a set of hand seals and create a clone. When it appeared beside him it took off, running towards Utena and her counterpart. Raijin stood behind with his arms folded. "Be quiet with your nonsense."

I let Utena and Raijin have their fun. Hopefully Utena could defeat him, she was at a disadvantage with her bummed leg. I stared at the beast with nine tails. After a moment of deliberating I jumped up on it's back avoiding it's tails in the process. I drew out my sword and stood atop it's head. I aimed it downwards hoping to destroy the beast.

With the intention of closing the distance between Utena the clone rushed forward, successfully drawing near. It was easily side-stepped and struck by the blade of the Prince but that was all part of the attack. At the moment the blade pierced the back of the clone it had detonated, unleashing a concussive force in an explosion. Raijin performed a set of hand seals to prepare himself for the next attack....

Meanwhile, the Kyuubi was being attacked by a lone girl. The beast caught her in his sight while she jumped onto it's back. It growled and allowed a corrosive blood colored chakra to seep out of it's body and coat it. Anything touching the beast would begin corroding. If the girl was fully enveloped in the chakra she'd be killed. Unlike Raijin, the Kyuubi did not spare anyone or anything that challenged it.

An explosive clone huh? This guy was clever. He seemed to have all the tricks up his sleeves for this battle, but, I wasn't going to allow him to win. The protective barrier I'd initially had around me blocked me from any of the debris or ash or anything from the explosion that just occurred to touch me. It could not penetrate the magical barrier. There was a bit of dust that covered over the battlegrounds between Raijin and I for a moment, but, when they cleared away revealing that I was untouched and in almost a better condition that I originally was just a moment ago, but, ALMOST.

I panted, the barrier glowing for a moment with a pale light before fading back to an invisible guard that shielded around me, obviously, it'd been weakened several levels by that explosion and it didn't block all attacks seeing as how I was weak to begin with. But it was doing it for me to the best of its ability. Couldn't blame it for that.

"You think you're clever by doing that shit? That's unoriginal. Exploding clones and things, I've seen that attack used in my lifetime more than I am years old. How pathetic. I thought you, of all people, would be the most original with his attacks. But, I guess I was wrong... oh well."

The black outline around the irises of my eyes were now a deeper and darker, a bolder black color. They weren't just a thin lining, now it was a thick lining, but, it was all around the circles of my eyes. The color of my irises had changed too. They were no longer a bright blue hue that shone like the sky on a peaceful spring day, no, now they were a deeper ocean blue, the color it resonates at night when the moon shines upon its restless waves. They were a only stained right now with the emotion of rage. My rage's full potential was just being held back behind the steel bars of my composure, barely by anything at all, since, it was pushing its hardest to break free of how I was containing it. But, nonetheless, I stared at him with contempt.

"I thought I told you to not attempt even touching my best friend with one of your lame and filthy fighting attacks, Raijin, or you'd find yourself in the afterlife.... And when I say something, I mean it. So you'd better stop with the foul play right now asshole, or I'll end your life faster than you can say, 'Save me.' "

I focused my gaze on his intently and pointed my sword at him, standing firmly. I meant business. Let's just see what he'd do.

I jumped off the beast immediately after my feet began to burn from the pain. I landed on the ground but wobbled forward due to the pain. The pain in my feet rose through my legs and my eyes were full of horror as I watched pieces of my feet began to decay. It took a moment to swallow any pain but I stared up at the beast, angry as hell. I watched the blood colored energy- or chakra- surrounded it. I had never been faced with this sort of power so I was unsure how to approach it. I held my sword in front of me using both hands and gathered a concentrated ball of energy. After I had charged enough energy I sent the blast straight towards the beast. If the energy didn't hurt it, my blade that I had shot with it, would.

So the prince had defensive spells? The blast didn't affect her despite it detonating so closely to her. As the smoke cleared a dome-like transparent energy barrier flashed a bit and then disappeared. Raijin was impressed by the speed of her reaction. And then again she opened her big mouth, throwing all sorts of threats at the shinobi. He couldn't help but chuckle. "You're so annoying. A prince that yaps her mouth of but cannot even save her kingdom..." The crimson eyes of the Sharingan gave Utena a cold glare, "Pathetic!"

Kyuubi's chakra had managed to decoy the footwear on the girl's feet and burn her skin, forcing her to retreat. The beast turned his attention to her and growled. Those fiersome eyes staring dead at her puny body. "You are weak human!! I will consume you once I am finished with this castle!" She wasn't taking any bull shit though. Projecting a so here of energy the girl shot it at the beast, along with her sword. The first attack had hit the chakra coating and faded into nothing, the latter -however, pierced the skin of the Kyuubi's snout as the coating disappeared. It jerked it's back feeling a slight sting in the snout and growled in anger. "How dare you!!!!!"

Enraged, the Kyuubi opened it's mouth, beginning to attract black and red particles of chakra at it's opening. All of the particles formed a large black ball with a glowing red sphere for a core. Raijin caught notice of what the Kyuubi was doing. The beast's eyes transformed into the same eyes as Raijin, he was being controlled now. Instead of firing the mass of chakra at the girl the Kyuubi shot it at the side of the castle, decimating the land and part of the castle completely.

I sighed in relief, having been saved momentarily. i had thought the beast was going to aim it's attack straight towards me- which raised the question of why it didn't. I looked to my feet once more and grimaced, "Stupid animal" I thought inwardly. That's when I heard Utena's words in my head. All I had to do was stab it in the chest, easier said then done.
I began to run forward jumping onto of the beast once again, but this time I said only long enough to retrieve my sword from it's snout. After jumping down from it's head, I stuck my sword in the middle of it's leg, then climbed quickly onto it. I used the sword as a landing and pulled out one of my guns aiming for the beasts heart.

"You all will fail.....There's nothing that can stop the power of the Uchiha!" Raijin performed several hand seals and inhaled deeply, inflating the lungs and contracting his diaphragm. When he was done he exhaled, expelling a large volume of superheated flames. The wave of fire swept ahead and race towards Utena.

Like an ant on a human, the girl bothered the Kyuubi. It did not fear any weapon she used against it, for it could not be killed, but it did find her attacks annoying. "Human! It is futile!" The colossus felt stings on his body when she stabbed with the sword and fired shots at his chest. In hopes of getting her off he shook wildly and began charging his Bijuu Blast once more. Tails thrashed about, knocking down what remained of the castle.

The beast was thrashing, attempting to shake me off. I gave up my shooting due to it's lack of effect and jump away to safety. "Do you have a plan for defeating him? The beast is charging another big attack, I could make sure he directs it at me whilst I run towards the man. Once he fires the attack I'll move out of the way-hopefully- and it'll hit him. This would either wound him enough to become useless or distract him long enough for you to attack." I thought to her.
