First topic message reminder :

OOC: I set up the topic, so no worries you don't have to do it. You can choose whether I play your Shadow or you do, it's fine if you want to play or if you want me to play, I don't have no problem with either. ^^ Also did I mention, you remind me a lot of Chie from Persona 4. If you've ever heard of or played the game before you'll know who I'm talking about. I partially got this idea from there anyway. Though I adapted it to its own setting with my mind. But, yeah have fun, sorry for the length of this message.

Often times, the evidence of a troubled mind is in the inability to function properly throughout everyday life. The individuals suffering would slowly atrophy because their own souls are battling them and winning. They are defeating their minds, overpowering them quite easily and snapping them as if they were twigs. Well, you must have the strength to face others in life; Quintessentially, everyone must learn this lesson. But, what some do not know is that there is a time when one will have to face oneself and that takes even more courage....

Everyone has things they hide. Everyone has hidden thoughts and feelings. Everyone has secrets. Part of what makes life and our interaction with one another as human beings so interesting is the urge, the yearning, the want, the need to know what the other is thinking. What the other is feeling; and more importantly, what the other is hiding. We as human beings always yearn for the truth, be it hidden or not, we always wish to know something, a secret, a knowledge, a thing that is not something personal to us. We love to know gossip for whenever a conversation flares out. But, mostly, it is the suppression of the being with a secret that keeps us from ever being COMPLETELY honest with each other. What if that were to change?

"Hey Mero, mind if I ask why we're training here anyway? I mean I thought the other place was good enough but you suggested we come here, any particular reason?"

It looked to be a completely empty field with tall grass swaying in the gentle winds that blew by. It was quite calm and relaxing. No life, nothing was in the area; and it seemed there never would be anything here. It was like this were a place, a secret place, on Earth that no one knew about, but, then again, things on Earth were not like this. We had gone through the portal once more to this alternate dimension, one that seemed to have a peaceful setting.

I talked as we walked. "Well she's kind and very much like a prince. We have been best friends for a long time now". I smiled in his direction. He seemed very curious of Utena and I was unsure if I should tell him in great detail about her.

"Interesting. Very much like a prince huh? Well then she must be noble and smart and very royal. Hmmm, what else can you tell me about her? She seems like a great person to get to know and even be friends with! Wow Mero, you sure have some amazing friends. Maybe I can be friends with her..."

I tapped my finger to my chin, thinking about what I would even say to her if I met her. I smiled and was chuckling along with what I was saying. Hey, who says this hunt for Utena, on the trails, it couldn't be fun. But by now Mero may have begun to notice my over the top innocence...

"Yes we do. We have a guest bedroom. Hmm, if you leave this hall and go straight down and to the right there should be another hall and the first door on the right is the room. If you're too lazy to go there yourself, I can have someone take you."

I smiled as I continued eating bit by bit. I watched as he immediately began tired and then winked at my dependable cook. He smiled for once before gaining a fearful expression again and slinking back into the kitchen.

"Forgive me, but I think I'm feeling a bit too tired. Haha! I am being lazy right now. So I think I'll be taking the escort." He chuckled and then slowly got up from the table, stretching his body out a bit. "Thanks cook for that meal!"

I chuckled, "Maybe. It seems like you two would get along well" I smiled and continued walking. "I feel like we're getting close, can you see anything up ahead?" I asked him. I knew our Utena conversation was far from over but we needed to focus on the task at hand and right now that was finding her.

"Very well then!" Blake snapped and an escort, one of her other personal servants, came to the dining room immediately and helped to escort Jace to a bedroom he could use for sleep.

"Take this lovely young man to the room for guests, I have some work I need to finish." The servant nodded and helped him to his quarters. Meanwhile Blake smirked and stood up, heading to her lab once more. It was time to get down to business.

I looked ahead to see if I could see something, anything like Mero had asked. In the distance there seemed to be a silhouette of a city or a village, rather. Something we could be looking for. I smiled.

"Yes, I can barely make out the silhouette of a village. That must be the thing we're looking for, the place in my dream! Come on let's go! You know.... even though Utena and I would probably get along and you make her out to be this amazing figure, you're pretty amazing yourself Mero and I mean it. I mean leading us all the way here on your gut and you're blind!"

I smiled more though she couldn't see, so I kissed her cheek gently and waited for her to continue leading us. I don't know why I did that, we barely knew each other. And yet, the atmosphere around us and around her, made me feel as if I knew her for years, as if we were best friends. It was.... familiar in a small sense. I wonder why...

Jace smiled and followed the escort to the guest quarters. He looked back at Blake and smiled, "Thanks for everything Blake." That cheesy smile that Jace put on was a funny one. Just like that he was gone, off to the room to sleep.

I shrugged then I felt him kiss my cheek. "Thanks I guess". We continued walking and I could feel the knowing in me get stronger. We were close, but this felt like just the beginning of something. "The faster we get there the better" I commented with a laugh then took off running.

''Finally I may be able to get some work done with him asleep. It seems everything is falling into place. It's that brat's blood I need. Her blood... it's the key to everything. She may be blind but her blood is key. I will have it. I will and I won't give up till that bitch is dead by my hands!"

Blake exclaimed as she kept making modifications in her lab. She smirked, scheming what she would do to bring Mero to her layer, and how she could kill her. She was really imagining this; Her thoughts were scary.

I cried out as I ran after her. I agreed that the faster we get there the better, but she just took off without warning. With some speed being added to my run, I pushed myself forward and caught up to her, then running with her towards the destination just up ahead. This was it!

Jace and the escort had reached a large brown door. When the escort opened it he rushed inside, jumping on the large king size mattress. It was rude but he couldn't help it. "Thanks a lot! This bed is so comfortable!" After taking off his shoes he laid back and stared at the ceiling, thinking about Blake. She was a great person and Jace was so glad that he was in her hospitality. "Thanks a lot Blake....." Jace smiled and then turned on his side, closing his eyes.

I stopped a few feet away from the cities entrance. Panting I waited for Xavier to catch up with me. "Whats it look like?" I asked him, when he had caught up. I was curious to know. I could only sense that it was there, and that there were people dwelling inside its walls. "I wonder if we'll find her here?" I mumbled.

I shrugged.

"Well I don't know if we'll find her here. Hopefully. Well it looks just as the old wisdom guy said in my dream. One half is dark and gloomy and the other half is bright and serene and it seems like the ideal place to live. Hmmm, but he said the heart will name it when it sees it. I wonder what he means by that."

I thought about it for a moment.

"Does that mean we have to describe what we see? Or name it what we think would be a good name for this town? Or... what?"

The true answer was unknown to myself. I'd no clue what this old man in my dreams meant by 'the heart will name it when it sees it'. That made absolutely no sense. Yet, here I was, straining my brains all over it. Maybe Mero would have an idea?

I laughed and looked in his direction, "Listen bud, I'm not the ideas gal. I'm just the one who provides the dry humour and sarcasm... that and stellar looks" I paused and flipped my hair over my shoulders dramatically. "So I don't really know what it means." I began walking again, this time through the streets of the city. "Who knows, maybe he's talking about seeing the cities name printed on a giant heart." I continued to walk, sensing my way around things in my path. "Say, what side does it look like we're on?"

"Well, it doesn't look like we're on any side. I sense something fishy here."

I looked around and placed my hands out, closing my eyes. It seemed when I did that, my magic cooperated with me and found its way to pulse out like SONAR does underwater. It seems that it hit something and it didn't fan all the way out. Were we trapped in some sort of illusion like barrier-world?

"That must be it! We are trapped. We walked right into this weird sort of illusion barrier-world. It makes us think we're walking into this town or village, but really, we're walking into this illusion set right before it. The only way out would be to go through our own reflection, so look for glass. And as soon as you exit you, as my dream goes, you will have to look at the town and name it, deliberately take the time to name it, trust to name it whatever the heart wants to name it. And then we'll see where we end up. That's the only way we can accomplish anything."

This did seem like a pain, but who ever said that going on these types of journeys wouldn't be complicated? That's what makes it fun and exciting in the first place. But that had to be it! So we needed to get out of this plexi-reality and into actual reality to decide where we would end up by the name of this town...Man, I hope this works.

I listened to his speech and I understood what we needed to do, but I could;t help but breakout into a fit of laughter. "Did you just tell me to look for glass?" I continued to laugh then I pointed to my eyes. "Blind remember?" Just because I could sense objects and buildings around me didn't mean I could get specific with it yet.

"Right, sorry. You know what I mean though. Anyway, I'll look around for some glass to go through. And as for naming the town, trust your heart, you don't have to be able to see to do that."

I said, smiling and continuing to walk, whilst holding her hand, guiding her along where I was walking. I was keeping an eye out for the glass reflection of us we could walk through to get back to where we originally were. But I was thinking along the way; What if there was a way to unblind Mero?

I was walking around this illusion town, searching for some glass we could use to walk through to get back to the other side. Suddenly, I'd spotted a skyscraper. Some of it was broken and some lose shards were hanging loosely, about to fall upon anyone who walked by the area. The walking would cause enough vibration to wobble the piece of glass and make it fall onto the person's head. We needed to be careful.

"Alright, I've found a way out for us. We just need to be extra careful. There are loose pieces of glass that can fall and cut into us. It's dangerous. But, we can do this."

I guided her gently. We could do this.

I said continuing to lead her cautiously. We approached the pieces of glass slowly. This was intense. Especially since one piece's point shined in the sun.

My eyes examined the area as I walked slowly and touched the bigger glass. It put my hand through it like it was some sort of portal. I smiled backward at Mero, though she couldn't see. I let go of her arm to get myself half through before the glass piece right above Mero's head began to shake from some wind that seemed to come from nowhere. It was odd, but real. Her footsteps sifting on the ground created vibrations as well that caused it to start to shake a bit and almost sever itself from where it was hanging loosely.

My eyes didn't catch it yet, I was smiling, placing myself more through the reflection that showed on the glass.

"Come on Mero..."

My eyes blinked and watched her in panic, realizing the piece of glass swinging.

"Mero... there's a piece of glass swinging loosely above your head. Damnit! I knew this would happen! If you move and make a dash for this portal, it will fall on you. And if you don't move it may continue to swing but eventually it'll swing off its hinge and hit you. ... Why oh why do things have to be so difficult?"

I thought a moment, what should we do?

I stopped then ran backwards without turning around. The vibrations of shook the glass enough for it to fall, but by this time I was out of the way. I just hoped Xavier was too.
"Duck and cover" I shouted then smirked as I heard the shatters. After all was silent I walked forward again trying to find the piece Xavier had started to go trough.

I watched the piece of glass fall rather quickly and Mero just barely dodging it to safety. Whew! That was a close one. I was so glad she was alright. I, myself, was already out of the way but I ducked just in case. The shards shattered on the floor and made an amorphous pattern of sharp shards in the walkway of Mero's feet. Luckily, there was a scent in the air that I'd left for her to smell, it was my magic, but her senses had become keen to that sort of stuff. She'd follow the scent to the glass portal and wind up on the same side I was now on. I blinked and smiled as we reached the town.

"I know you can't see it Mero, but we've finally reached this town. It's just like in my dreams, yet it's still nameless. It's divided half and half and well, people can't live in a town with no name. Why don't I call you..."

I thought about it for a while before I smiled and came up with a name.

"Let's call you... Fleur Noble? I think it's suitable."

I looked to Mero waiting for her to name it as well.
