The Unpredicted Friendship ~ [PRIVATE: Raijin and Utena]

"Explore? Let's do that! Maybe we can go to.......Hueco Mundo."

Rukia smirked and looked at Utena. Something was off though; she couldn't use her magic here. Would going to Hueco Mundo be such a bad idea now? Most likely. Relying on Spiritual Energy wouldn't be much of a benefit now. For one, Utena didn't know how to use it. If they were to bump into Hollows, or even worse, Arrancars, that wouldn't turn out well.

"Maybe I could give you some tips on how to use it? I was thinking of exploring Hueco Mundo but it's not going to be safe if we go there and you don't know how to use your Spiritual Energy."

"Hmm, nah, I think I'll just get it on my own. I mean my sensory abilities have no completely depleted."

I smiled and continued to walk.

"To Hueco Mundo!"

I exclaimed excitedly and continued on our way to that place Rukia named. Perhaps it would be exciting there. And just as we were outside the doors of the Soul Society's main building we were met with a giant creature, roaring and screaming as if trying to terrorize us to bits. And it seemed no captains were around, well one was, but he was sound asleep and didn't hear the roar of the creature over his snores, which were quite loud. I braced and clenched my teeth for a moment.

"What is that thing?!"

I said.

"A hollow? Okay, then I guess I'll just have to fight it then!"

I drew my sword and got ready to rush into battle. As it was yelling and thrashing about, I yelled up to it, being that it was huge and tried to make it listen to me.

"Hey big guy!"

The monster curiously stopped and quieted itself to no noise whatsoever. He blinked and quizzically looked around to see who had said that to him. When he discovered it was someone on the ground beneath him, he looked down with his eyes and listened in closely.

"Hey big guy!" I repeated myself in case he didn't hear me and then his arm questioningly pointed to himself meaning like: "Me?" I yelled again.

"Yes you, you big lug!" He blinked. Never was one of his future victims so amusing to him. He continued to listen. "You need to stop roaring it's giving me a headache. And stop trying to destroy everything, it's disturbing the peace."

He blinked again, confused. Like was I really speaking to him like that? He had to try hard to hold back laughter.

"Alright! Fine... you wanna play that game? Let's do this!"

And then he got a serious face on, waiting for my attack.

"Hmmm, what? You've never seen someone with the guts to stand up to you? You think you're threatening because you're so much bigger than me?! Well, well, well, you shouldn't learn to judge your opponents on their size. I'll rip you to shreds, you waste of space!"

I kept yelling up at him and he sighed, unamused by my gaudy talk.

"You heard me! You're not going to fling me away like a fly. Bring it all. I dare you. Bring all your power, bring your most menacing attacks, bring it all on and I swear I'll defeat you and stop you from creating havoc within the Soul Society! That's a promise!"

I got even louder in volume and he tried to swing at me. I smiled and jumped up, reacting quickly and wielding my sword of Dios, running up its gigantic arm quickly. I was able to do a few slashes to where its arm was attached, then stabbing my sword once into its head, flipping over its head and taking the sword out. It did some damage, but not enough to slay it. It quickly turned around, angry with me and my swiftness as well as tone, and grabbed me with its arm. He roared in my face and I seemed to be afraid at first. Then I was placed right next to its mouth.

"You know. You could really use some breath freshener."

The monster continued to roar and bring me closer to his mouth like he was going to eat me, before, shaking me so that my sword would drop to the ground. I smirked and yelled.

"Rukia! Now!"

The creature dropped me and I grabbed my sword and began to wait for it to calm down again before I could attack. It was thrashing about and roaring in pain. Its arm faded away to nothingness. It was cut clean off. I looked amazed.

"Thanks."

I kept concentrated on the battle and once the monster calmed down again from the pain, it was still very angry. It began to swing at me with the one arm it had left. I jumped upon it again and began to do the same process on the other arm. He couldn't grab me this time, since his other arm was gone. Instead, his head, the bone of it, met with my sword and he pushed me back. I went flying back into a building's wall, leaving my indentation in it as well, a small slit. I smirked. Now it was Rukia's turn.

I smirked and grabbed my sword in my hands firmly. It was go time. I began to step quickly, faster than just normal running and I wasn't using magic, so what was this? No matter, I concentrated on my target and within seconds I was at its head. I took my sword and reversed its position in my hands, turning it around to stab downward into the mask of this hollow creature. I cried out as I did so. A bright light emitted from the creature and it dissipated into particles, nothingness. I took that as we had defeated it. Soon after, I fell to the ground and landed on my feet, then taking a kneel, tired. A corner of my lip began to trail blood down my chin, and I smiled weakly, leaning on my sword for balance and panting accordingly.

First hollow; Successfully slain.

"I'm fine... I mean fighting that thing.. yeah, it was tiring. But, trust me... I've taken worse hits than that in battles in my own world... I'm fine."

I smiled and panted, trying to catch my breath.

"Thank you Rukia."

I let her clean the blood off my lip happy to have someone there to assist me. Partner battles did usually go better than solo ones. And then I heard clapping in the distance. It was slow and seemed sarcastic. But in fact it was sincere, well for Rukia, it was, as the boy smiled and his gaze was directed towards her. But as soon as he turned his look to me, his eyes went icy cold and he eventually stopped clapping. He seemed small. How old was he?

"So... I see you killed the hollow before we could get here. Nice work Rukia. But, who is this?"

The boy icily asked as he stared down at me. I was still kneeling, otherwise I'd bet I'd be a lot taller than him.

"I see. You've allowed a human into this realm and told her everything there is to know about this place? About soul reapers, about hollows and what we're capable of?"

He seemed a little annoyed. I decided to stand up and walk over to him, trying to reason with him so he didn't get too uncontrolled in anger. I smiled and extended my hand to the young man.

"Toshiro was it?"

"That's captain Toshiro to you."

"Oh, my apologies then Captain Toshiro. But it's a pleasure to meet you. I am in fact a human from the other realm, Rukia has educated me about this world and the happenings of it, as well as what all of you are since I can see you. And I apologize, if you still don't believe me, I was curious. And so she showed me. I am pretty good at wielding a sword and I promise that I will help to protect the Soul Society, given the opportunity, not to destroy it."

I smiled and then he questioningly took my hand and shook it.

"I see. Well, Utena. You certainly are noble and righteous. You're lucky that you were able to explain yourself this time, or you might have been seen as an intruder. But since you're with Rukia and now that you have acquainted yourself with me, I see no harm in letting you stay. I see you have taken care of the hollow and thus I'll take my leave."

The small boy left quickly in flash step and left Rukia and I alone again. I smiled and walked back over to her.

"So, he seems .... nice."

I said awkwardly. He was, if you didn't get on his bad side. Which I was just lucky enough to miss.

"So... what do we do now?"

"I'm still up for it."

I looked down at my feet, they seemed to feel funny. I tried to walk it off and yet they still felt funny. I blinked.

"Hey Rukia, what did I just do before? I ran faster than I ever could and I don't have my magic. So what was that? It would have taken me at least few minutes to get back to where you were and dash for the hollow's face. But instead, I was there in a few minutes."

"Well, I don't know, that certainly was weird."

I blinked and rubbed the back of my head.

"Hmm, I don't know. Maybe I've been here, so I was able to copy it?"

I shrugged and walked off with Rukia. Off to Hueco Mundo it was, I guess.

And within minutes we were at a place called Hueco Mundo. I blinked and looked around. There was a crescent moon over our heads and the sky was very eerie looking.

"This is certainly new..."
