First topic message reminder :

I kept my head down attempting to hide it behind the collar of my coat which i had adjusted upwards. I glanced around and noted how many factories ran along this road. Over 5 factories and sadly this wasn't the industrial part of town.I inwardly scoffed at the thought and continued forward. I wiped a bit of ash off my face and glanced around trying to spot the smoke stack it had fallen from.

What a terrible city, crumbling under the governments idea of advancement. It was killing this city slowly and no one seemed to realize. I shook my head and stopped infront of an older looking house and knocked on the door, standing back waiting for an answer. After about a minute, the client I was meeting opened the door and let me inside.

I looked back at Utena and shook my head signaling that I did not need her assistance. She had just used so much energy and I didn't want her or anyone to over do themselves for my problems. I huffed a sigh and continued towards the man just down the road. Sure I stole from him but he didn't need to send a freaking army after me.

I stopped just a few feet away from him raising an eyebrow at him. "Why all the trouble?" I asked him smirking. He glared and lounged forward at me. I was prepared for him and blocked with my sword. I pushed him backwards but he balanced himself. I charged forward and slashed at him which he blocked with a sword he had drawn.

Impressive display by the young girl. She basically had obliterated the henchmen with what seemed to be a spell, a very powerful one. With such a powerful attack, she must have spent some energy, but she still wanted to help. Remarkable! "Hey you two should rest and watch this one fight, haha!" He grinned and laid back, resting his arms behind his head. Unless the girl needed aid, Ventus would not intervene. "Oh boy, I want to see how this will end."

"She told me she doesn't need help but it looks like he's giving her all she can handle. Sure, she's a skilled fighter but, he's so much bigger than her, doesn't that mean that he probably contains much more strength? These are just facts. I have all the faith in the world in Mero right now, but, she'll get exhausted quicker and that will result in her defeat."

I clenched my fists loosely and watched the fight as it continued. This sure was a bit on-edge. I had obliterated the two witches, Bryant took care of his men and now it was all up to Mero. I stood by on guard just in case.

"Besides, I'm not that worn or tired. It did take a bit of my energy to summon and use but, I'm fine. That spell I've learned to recover from quicker the more I used it in the past."

I turned to watch Mero and then decided to say...

"Come on, you can beat him!"

'Although there's something I can do to help... but, should... I ... do it'

My eyes shifted a bit in uncertainty. Maybe I would if things got too out of hand...

shes stronger tena-chan trust me hes using and old trick to fool you. she can beat him easy. i was worried too becuase there were more on the way but i had faith in utena and mero that they were stronger than all of them put together. i looked over at ventus. im Brandon i held out my hand

I remembered there was another man that had come onto the scene. He seemed nice but he also seemed familiar. I turned to face who my obnoxious but good friend was introducing himself to. And then shock overrode my face.

"Ventus! ... Do you.. remember me?"

Ventus leaned back further and slid one hand to his scarf, pulling it down. This pink haired girl, she didn't want to stay back and watch, she wanted to help. The way she talked about helping made it obvious; she cared about this Mero.

Reaching out towards the relaxing boy was an open hand, a handshake. With his free hand he gripped Brandon's hand and shook. "Hello there Brandon, I'm Ventus! Nice to meet yah!" Suddenly out of the blue, the girl who had used the spell called out his name and asked if he remembered her. He stared at her, examining her pink hair and blue eyes. "Utena? Is that you?" This girl was raised by his cousin Emmanuel. Ventus had played with many times when he was younger.

Ventus? how did you get that name? it was a strang name to me but i didnt press the matter any further thn i already had.

OOC: Tena-chan can you change my name back to Brandon Maboroshi? you and Mero can still call him bryant he trusts you guys enough.

OOC: Of course.

I smiled with ecstasy and yet disbelief washed over my features slightly. I simply was a bit overwhelmed by whom was standing directly in front of me. It happened to be Ventus, I was sure it was, and that was my father's cousin. He did look grown and stronger now and I admired that he had grown up to be all that he would have hoped when he was younger. I, however, took a wrong weird turn in the road and ended up getting these magical powers.

"Yes, it's me. Are you surprised?"

Of course, the last time I had seen him much less, talked with him, I was only a mortal with a good sword wielding talent. But, now, I had magic. It might have come across as quite a shock to him. But, if he needed it to be explained, I'd try my best to comply. But, this was an absolute amazing surprise. However as happy as I was to see him, I still had kept most of my nerves calm so that if Mero needed help at anytime, I would jump in instantaneously.

A faint whisper took its sound in my ears. I knew it was Bryant. I established the telepathic communication link directly to his mind by poking my finger to his arm.

'No I don't liiiikkkee him. He's practically like a brother to me.'

I quickly finished off my opponent by jumping behind him and shooting him in the head. I pouted slighly and huffed a sigh. "That was no fun.." I mumbled to myself.

I turned around to my friends and skipped over to them smiling. "You guys okay?" I asked them not to worried. I then looked at the other guy and smiled politely. "Hey, I'm Mero", I introduced myself.

Ventus turned to Brandon; he wanted to know why he was named Ventus. "Well, my cousin told me that I was born on a sacred piece of land. A hill where magical winds and gales pass through. When my mother gave birth to me a powerful wind almost blew me out of her hands, haha! So they named me Ventus!" He was uncertain if Brandon would believe such a story, after all, it sounded like something from a fairy tale.

He looked at Utena; She had just asked if he was surprised. "Haha! Of course I'm surprised!! I haven't seen you in so long! And you've changed so much! Haha! He chuckled and looked at the girl who was just fighting. Looked like she finished off her foes! "Hello Mero! I'm Ventus!!"

The telepathic connection I established was there for a bit longer and I had thought that to Bryant, hoping he would receive all of it in his head. Meanwhile, outwardly, I smiled and nodded along with his story and his expressions, as they were ones of happiness. I simply couldn't believe this.

"Oh I know I changed. So have you. You aren't exactly human anymore either. I mean, I became a magical swordsman, and you became something similar, no? But, it really is great to see you again."

"Well yes, I am no longer human any more. I am a skilled knight of the Charius family now. After receiving training from Emmanuel I became a knight to hopefully become a Guardian in the future." He smiled and looked over to Brandon. "I'm in the process of learning how to control the Wind element. So far I have mastery over Fire and Lightning."

Ventus stood up and dusted his coat off. There was no need to sit and watch anymore, the battle was over. "Do you mind if I come along?"

when brandon heard lightening he muttered bastard under his breath as a result of the rewiring in his brain. i only know a few baby trick with fire but i use the air to do them. im a master of air myself. maybe we could be sparring or training buddies?

"Oh yes! I'll help you guys accomplish anything! Ventus was full of energy, as usual; He had just been accepted into the group. Their intentions were unknown, but that didn't matter, he was now with his old friend. After wandering for three years he finally found someone. All that remained now was Emmanuel and Jonas.

He looked at Brandon and smiled, "That sounds great! You know you can count on me to be a sparring partner! Haha!"

any chance you can teach me fire? in exchange ill teach you air and energy. i asked a bit nervous knowing he uses electricity as well. this guy could keep me in line with ease but one day ill get over my genetic weaknesses and be undefeatable.

I turned towards Utena while the boys were talking, and smiled. "So we should head to city hall soon if we want to make it by dark. Or is it okay if it waits? Seeing that we have a group of ok'd friends back together and we should celebrate or something". By that time I was just pondering but looked to Utena for her opinion.

"What's the harm in celebrating? I say that would make the most sense. The king will just have to wait. And besides, he's not my true father anyway."

I smiled as I was discussing this topic with Mero but within earshot I could still hear Bryant and Ventus speaking of their sparring plans. But, suddenly overcome with a wave of happiness and energy I spoke out.

"Hey, why don't we all go to the diner and celebrate? Everything is on me!"

'Bryant... you're forgiven..'
