A warrior and a friend(Private)

Everything so far seemed to be arlight for me, being a girl that wanted to try something new; try something that will show I'm more than a girl that might wish to do and prove her honor for her family. That was what I thought of in the possible time till I find out my father got this letter, speaking of going to war and in his condition, he couldn't. I didn't wish for him to go but judging him of his choice, he was not happy with me. Sitting and thinking, I had to do something for my father before it was too late and only could think of one thing; taking his place. I had to prepare for this journey and this journey alone. I made the possible changes to show I had to take the change of my look to the charming look of a female to the true warrior at heart. When I was ready, I picked up my father's sword, attacked it to my belt of the armor and leaves to get my trust worthy black stallion, ready to leave and head into war. As we both ride through the rain and thunder, I was looking ahead, hoping I'm doing this right but I already knew I was...

"I can give that to you, all you wish for, all you desire. Everything. And it's so simple, all you must do, is drink this potion."

I paused and looked at the bottle in her hands containing some sort of greenish liquid. It didn't look suitable to drink, but the woman told me to drink it and I would have all I ever desired. All I've ever desired would have been love and happiness, the ability to actually be a true prince without having to conceal my identity, it would grant my heart's desires. And I was in no position to pass that up, even if I was a bit skeptical.

"You're saying, if I drink this, then all that I desire will become reality?"

She nodded and smirked lightly, handing the bottle closer to me to drink. I toook it in my hands and looked at it curiously.

"Yes yes yes it will, prince. Go ahead and drink it. I promise you, it's a sure thing. All it will cost you, is just a bit of that gold you possess."

"What do you desire from me?"

"I just want your crown, my dear."

I blinked. All she wanted was my crown? This thing... I couldn't wear with honor or truth anyway and if it meant "nothing", then... I guess it was okay to trade. I nodded and traded it.

"Deal, it's all yours. Thanks again!"

I smiled and waved as she left the room, closing the door. I drank the potion shortly after. More like guzzled it down and suddenly I felt funny. Was it working? I burped once and then the bottle dropped from my hands onto the floor, it dripping out of the bottle, the little bit left of it. The last drop, actually. Suddenly, I found my hearing more impeccable, my eyesight clearer and sharper than as a human. And soon, I was transformed into a small black kitten. Not only had she ripped me off and turned me into a kitten, she'd also rigged the potion to cast a hatred spell on the kingdom, hating me and seeing me as a grotesque creature. Soon after... I ran out into the woods to escape the torture and remained there.

bic:I've been traveling to the training warrior camp sight where the other soilders would be staying to train and rest till the day has come. I had to get away from all of this for some time now cuz well..I was not doing so well of finding it first. "Hmmm, let me see. I think I am getting close to this place. Maybe I should stop and take a think to this." My eyes scans the forest area around me and my stallion, scratching my head just a little bit. I couldn't have gotten lost so quickly could I? I let out a little sigh to think 'yeah, I could' idea but puts the map away. Before I could put away the map, my ears picked up some mewing sounds that was comming from near a bush. "Huh? what was that?"my eyes looked around but stops at where the sound came from. I took small steps to the bush looking at it to wonder what it could be as my fingers and hands moved some of the green leaves from the bush to show something I never thought of finding; a little black kitten.

"Oh my, where did you come from, little one?" I know I should have been trying to find my way back but I had to check if this black kitten was alright.

"Mew."

I cried afraid. As I had run from nothing but cruel people, I happened to think she was one of them, and I cowered in fear. I shrunk back, finding that I had nowhere else to go, my back up against the back of the bush I was behind and then a tree that stood over me. I cried out in fear, my paws hugging my tail and my blue eyes, unusual for a cat, looking at her, scared.

"Mew..."

I said nothing looking at this poor innocent little kitten afraid of the world and others it seems. Just seeing the kitten this way made me feel really bad for it. "Hey, don't be afraid, little kitten. I won't hurt you..but I see others have to you. It's alright.." I wanted to help it even if it was the kind of kitten I never seen before but still a kitten. I laied my hand down on the ground gently, hoping it would know I wouldn't hurt it. I loved all types of creatures.

I slowly and hesitantly made my way over to her hand, seeing it gently placed there, for some reason it attracted me. It seemed warm and loving, not cruel and uninviting. I needed to be able to trust her, and there was a whirlwind of thoughts inside my head at this moment...

'Come on Utena.. just trust her. She's one measly girl, you can trust her. She said she wouldn't hurt you. She's not like the others. I doubt she is at all. I doubt she even knows what happened or about my kingdom or anything. There's no harm in making one friend. And besides, you're the prince of the kingdom, this should be a cinch for you. Trust her... she's the only kindness you have.'

And so slowly I went to her hand, walking on my little cat legs. What else was I to do?

I was happy to see that the black kitten trusted me as it was walking slowly towards me. My hand kept where it was, not making one move or sound cuz I wished to be gentle with the poor kitten. Somehow, I could feel it went through alot and needed someone it could trust. "Easy, it's alright. I really won't hurt you but I only wish to help you..." I even gave a little baby kind smile to the kitten.

I sat right there near her hand, beginning to trust her. I locked eyes with her. She had emerald eyes of only kindness, and it was at that moment that I knew, she was different. She wasn't going to harm me. Perhaps, perhaps she didn't hate me. Perhaps, she could be my new friend when I didn't seem to have any.

My blue eyes turned to gleams of happiness then, and I jumped into her arms, for comfort.

When feeling the kitten jump in my arms, I held her gently but smiled to see it trusted me. My own eyes stairs into the kitten's eyes as well, seeing a beautiful blue color of their own. Never in my life I've seen a kitten like this one but it was.....suprising and excited me. Carefully, I just held the kitten in my arms, smilling at it. "See? I told you I wouldn't hurt you, little kitten. Though, what are you doing out here by yourself? You know you can get hurt out here if not careful."

I tried to tell her and explain, but it's not like she understood anyway. I could only meow and talk like that. No words would form, I didn't have my human voice anymore. I couldn't explain anything. I sighed and gave up, nuzzling her hand, finding comfort in her arms. I sensed something was up with her. Wait.. why was she dressed like a man in the first place? I sniffed and listened.. she sounded and smelled like a girl. She was one. So why...

"Mew."

I tried to ask her to explain herself.

My eyes looked half confused and worried as it was trying to explain something to me but I didn't understand her. If only I could understand cat speak, it wouldn't be so hard but I was just a human so I didn't. "I'm sorry little kitty, I don't know what you are saying but from what you said, it sounded like you explained evertying.." My fingers kept on her head but petting her carefully and gently but I did see her smelling me, thinking I'm either a goy or girl.

"Hmmm? So, you know the true me huh? Yeah, I might be dressed as a boy but I'm really a girl. I'm doing this for my own reasons to be honest."

I purred showing that I understood and loved the touches from her hands to my fur. It felt so different being a cat, and actually, not too bad. I found one kind soul. Maybe there were others like her. So she was a girl dressed as a boy for her own reasons? She was in a war outfit. Did she wish to take her father's place? That was probably it.

"Mew.. mew mew."

I smiled, I knew exactly what was going on. Perhaps it was better she didn't know about the kingdom and the mean residents anyway. This scene was way too peaceful to sacrifice with drama.

"I'm guessing that means you understand what I'm doing this for huh? Well, thank you for that kitten. At least you know I have a good reason to do this.." I smiled still petting her but my arms kept holding her carefully. I didn't want to squish the little one. "Though, I wish I could stay out here all day and just talk to you all the time, kitten, but I know the leader is looking for me since I didn't come back yet."

Suddenly voices could be heard approaching the forest area where this kind girl and I sat. They sounded angry. Familiar and angry. They were carrying weapons. And from a distance I could see pitchforks and knives, and fire. My eyes widened in fear and I began to shiver and shake as they drew nearer. Thinking quickly, I jumped out of her arms and began to pull on the cloth of her clothing to a safer, more hidden place to hide.

"Where is that hideous monster? We have to kill it. We have to ensure the safety of our kingdom is not under question!"

"Yeah! Down with the monster! Down with the monster! Where is that foul, grotesque little fuckup?"

"Search! Search everywhere till you find it! Search that area over there! If you can't find it here, then we have to move on to the next area. Find it and destroy it!"

The crowd yelled and cheered. The voices that walked by the area we were hiding in completely disregarded the area to search for us, that we were in. That had me nervous and relieved all the same. Yet, still, I was jittering, convulsing.

"So... this monster, what's it look like?"

"You mean you didn't see it? Ugh, fine I'll clue you in. They say it's this dark dark dark feline type thing. It's almost like a cat. It's got razor sharp teeth and claws. Its teeth are yellow and its claws unevenly long and short. It stands at about the height of half of your leg, but man is it vicious. I heard apparently one villager tried to be kind to it and give it food, and instead, the villager ended up being attacked and being this thing's dinner. And all the soldiers could find on the scouting search mission for this missing person were the remains of his heart, half bitten into."

"Ugh, that sounds disgusting!"

"Yeah it is. Which is why we can't let this little creature live any longer. The safety of our own lives is in jeopardy and we can't risk another one ending up like the guy who got eaten."

The other person shook his head and they continued walking by. Cat, black. I was a black cat. And suddenly I looked down, feeling heartbroken. They were speaking of me, but was I really that .... despicable? A small teardrop fell from my eyes, and I tried to jump out of her arms to walk away.

I didn't wish to believe what I just heard but these people were speaking of the black kitten I had? My hands fisted up in anger, hearing such rude things to such a sweet adorable kitten before my eyes saw her leaving. "Wait...please don't go. They are lying of what they call you. You're such a sweet little kitten..please dont' leave.."

I couldn't leave, that is, if I wanted to stay alive. And so I hoped back into her arms for a little longer, waiting for them to leave. And after what seemed like forever, one strong voice called out.

"The monster's not here! Clear out! Let's search elsewhere!"

And footsteps faded away, to go search somewhere else. When I was sure they were gone, I knew I couldn't risk putting this girl in that danger ever again. I sighed and jumped out of her arms, mewing once more and wishing her a goodbye. I'd need to make it on my own, even if she was the only to show me kindness. . .

"Are you going to leave now? What if they find you and...kill you? I don't want to lose a friend.." My eyes got full of tears a little but I couldn't let the black kitten go on by herself and if they found her, that would be bad.

I didn't say another thing. I knew she was concerned for me, as was I with her. We both had some basic bond of friendship forming, but I knew I'd have to go my separate ways with her for now. Besides, I think we're destined to meet again. We just have to. People like her and people like me, we don't just meet under coincidence and so I was careful not to be spotted as I walked off.

OOC: Another time skip. Do you remember what comes next? I think it's where you go to my kingdom and everyone discovers you're really a girl.

bic:I really didn't want the kitten to get hurt or hunted down again but I knew she wasn't mine but a friend. A sigh came from me but I decided to hold in my tears and get up, waving bye to the kitten before going to find my way back to camp and hope to see my friend again really soon.

The camp was in my kingdom, unbeknownst to me, that was. When the girl had finally made her way back to the camp, she smiled, feeling happy that she'd made at least one new friend even if that friend was an animal. And animals couldn't talk, so who would I tell her secret to? It felt good to get a load off her chest for once.

But there was something drifting about the in air. Something offset, something fishy and nothing is ever safe under that kind of atmosphere.

I looked around really quiet but I was curious as to this feeling I didn't notice before. My eyes looked ahead as I saw the other camp tents with the other warriors resting or either preparing. AT least I got back in time but just heads to my own tent.

Suddenly there was a gunshot as soon as the girl had entered her tent. And there seemed to be voices arguing and raging outside. It seemed there was something going on.

"I'm telling you! We'll stay up all night if we have to to find that dreaded creature and kill it! It could attack you in the night, that's how vicious it is!"

A guy shouted to the general of the army, who had his weapons drawn and armed. He was ready since the citizen unleashed gunfire first.

"This is our boot camp and we're not going to be kept up all night by your gunfire and search for this 'creature' you say exists. We need our sleep too and it'd be wise sir, if you got some as well."

And the two men started to stare off at each other.

"You came into the wrong kingdom, mr."

And each of the men, from the kingdom and from the army began to fire at each other and fight and soon the middle of the kingdom was a small battlefield of chaos. The girl rushed out to try and stop the violence, finding a bullet hitting her side. The fighting immediately stopped for a moment, enough to get her medical attention and bring her back to her tent. That made the army especially angry and the fighting ensued again. A team of medical men from the army, went into her tent right away and began their work.

"I'm going to have to ask you to remove your clothes, please."

I looked shocked then away, not wishing too but I tried to sit up and move away but I felt the one trying to help me hold me still as I stuggled to get away. I told him I was alright and didn't need much of help right now.

"Why? Is there somethin' you hidin' under there or somethin'? Come on cadet! Show some skin!"

One of them cried out, pinning her down and the other removed her shirt. They found her chest bound and that she was really a girl. Shocked, they repaired her anyway, as it was their job and they wouldn't get paid otherwise, before leaving and scurrying to tell the general.

"General! General! Soldier Mike, you should know something about him! He's not really a Mike. He's a Mel!"

"What?!"

And so.. drama ensued.

"Please wait! I can explain!" I tried to sit up but held onto my wound where i was bandaged up but looking up to the general. I can tell he was not happy to see a girl in his army.

"Why is their a female in our amry!? Dont' you know it's forbidden to have females here! They don't know much of the fighter's way!"

"I had a reason! I did it to help my father. He was sick and could have died out here in this war. I didn't want him to leave my family so i-"

"It didn't matter! That was for him and not for his daughter!"
