Path of memory

The grass and trees moved gently in the cool wind but had waterdrops on them to make them shiny like diamonds the rain last night. Under a large oak tree, melli was meditating with eyes closed, trying to focus of all around her of light and darkness, She felt the warm sun rays beaming down on the land and her hair gently moving in the wind but she's used to it. After a bit, she slowly open her black eyes to look around now, seeing the wide grassland but she was thinking of her memories of her life now.

A young prince approached her, one whom had a sword attached to the belt of the costume she was wearing. I was this prince, a female prince. Peculiar, no? Anyway my light blue eyes that resemble the sky's sea shone with innocence as I scanned the area. I blinked a couple of times stumbling across the form of a young girl meditating in silence. I was ignorant to the practices of religion or much less of why she was meditating so I walked over and waved a couple of times awkwardly. When I was sure she wouldn't respond. I put my hand to my hip (not in the girly way, it just rested there), and my expression became confusion. I, then breaking the silence, spoke.

"Um hello there?"

A smile grew across my face as I awaited her response.

Melli's reactions were quick when she heard the new voice to get her in defense but quiet. When melli set her gaze at the person, she had her hands on the wet grass but near her swords that glowed black and white just in case from her own elements, darkness and light.

"Um, hello."she said but hands kept near her swords but her eyes on the other, still feeling the wind gently blowing but being careful.

I studied her over for a moment and noticed her "ready" pose. One that looked as though, if I had made a wrong move, she'd slash me to bits. I wouldn't worry about it, but, then I smiled sincerely and spoke softly once again. A voice that seemed so gentle it wouldn't even hurt a fly.

"I'm not going to hurt you, if that's what you were expecting. I saw you here all alone, and I decided to come see what was up. So, what is up?"

^^'. I laughed nervously, rubbing the back of my head and awaiting a response from the girl beneath me, sitting on the floor. The wind blew gently which felt nice and gave this setting an eerie but calm feeling to it.

Melli kept quiet looking at her a bit confused now while the wind gently blew but her eyes slowly looked more calmer now. Moving her hands from her swords, she went back to relaxing, feeling no threat from her.

"Nothing really, just meditating for a while and enjoying this day and nature."she said in a shy but gentle voice as she looked at her and enjoying the sun then had a question.

"Also, who are you?"

"My name is Utena Tenjou, and yourself?"

I smiled as the sun shone brightly and the small gusts of wind continued to blow pleasantly past us. I chuckled a little, posing no threat to her now. Her voice was sweet and pure and I could tell she was not going to hurt me either.

Melli thought Utena's name was really cute but when she asked for hers, she looked a bit sad. Her name makes her remember of the saimia family years ago that died, including her family. She even changed her first name so no one would know the real one or of her being the princess. Looking up but calm to Utena, she looked at her.

"That's a nice name. My name is melli rose saimia, nice to meet you."she said shy but gentle with a smile.

"Thanks, you have a nice name as well. So, what are you doing out here all alone?"

I decided to take a seat on the soft green grass across the way from her about 2 feet. I sat with my legs crossed in a sort of "pretzel style" I guess you could call it. I took off my sword that was attached to my form as well and laid it on the grass. The case was nothing special, but it did have a symbol on it that resembled that of the kingdom I came from. I looked at it, smiled for a second, then looked back at her. My regal dress was that of a top/shirt fit for a prince. Everything about my style seemed royal, but, my personality was not. I smiled once more clearing my throat, waiting for reply.

"Thank you, Utena and to answer you, I was sleeping out here the other day but was going to leave since I travel alot during my life as a child to now."

Mell said quietly to her while looking at utena. Her swords still near her but she's still relaxed and gently looking at the grass with her hands on her lap but ajusted her white and black female warrior kimono she was given to from her mother a bit then looked at Utena.

"Well, I see, that must be tough. But, hey, if you want, we can stick together, maybe even become friends, if you like. But, if you don't want to, that's alright as well. I just saw you all alone and so I wanted to make sure you were alright... maybe keep you a bit of company."

Another sincere smile flashed her way as I rested my guard now, and lay my weight upon my hands that were placed in back of me, extending my arms, supporting my form. I was relaxed. She seemed to be nice. I laughed in place of the small silence between us, I just didn't know what to say. ^^''

Melli kept quiet but was suprised at what Utena asked to be friends with her. When she was a child, she never had many friends but was used to it and when she travled, she had friends but had to leave because of them thinking she's an enemy. Shaking her head, she looked at Utena with a shy smile.

"I do like friends and knowing new faces, sure we can stick together and be friends...if you like."she said gently.

I looked at her as well, and then towards the sky, squinting some because of the bright light shining in my eyes. Then, I sighed and looked down to the grass as the wind blew. Creating more conversation between I decided to ask...

"So how old are you, Melli?"

Melli kept quiet but looked at the grass, gently having a hand on it to touch the coolness of it, the warm sun still shinning on her, Utena, and the large grassland.

"I'm 18. What about you?"she asked quietly but gently cleared her thoat from being a bit sore or dry but kept quiet.

OOC: [Out of Character] Just a side comment, on my character profile, it'll say I'm 14. It's been a while since I've RPed here, and I want to make her a bit older. So I hope you're alright with that.

The sun shining down on our skin felt warm, it felt nice. It was like fire and life and passion, something that just burns deeply inside of you, a spark that drives you to fulfill things through your motives, but, it doesn't burn you. And this nature, the beautiful scenery, it was all so wonderful and serene and just amazing. It could relax even the greater thinker's mind. I nodded.

"But you sound so young to be 18, I'm not judging. I'm 16, just a little younger than you. But, I couldn't help but notice the swords you have. One for light and one for dark. So you fight with the old moral of yin and yang? Interesting."

Another smile.

bic:"In a way, I get that alot of how I sound for my age."melli said quiet then looked a bit quiet when Utena talked of the swords, making her think of her family, old memories in her thoughts and dreams. Shaking her head, she calmed down.

"You think their interesting? Other would panic when they see them because of them glowing."

"Yeah I think they're really cool. I mean, I'm someone who's not like most other people. I'm used to seeing these paranormal like things happen."

I smiled and decided to move closer, sitting next to her instead of across from her. It would make the most sense to talk to her. My blue eyes continued studying the swords until I looked up into Melli's eyes for a deeper meaning.

"That is true from what others tell me but what can you do? Whatever happens happens but I'm used to people being that way." Melli said gently, having her gaze at the grass again to think but felt Utena's eyes on her. She lifts her head and looked up at Utena to see her getting close. She's very shy around all but kept quiet then quickly looked at the ground again, feeling like a kid again but at her swords again glowing together that their glow was almost a faint silver color.

"Well I'm used to being around the supernatural I guess only because.. well, ah, that's not important. Hehe, so what do you wanna do now?"

I stood up abruptly, sighed, and leaned one arm against a tree, then shifting my body weight to hold upon that one arm. I patiently awaited in the silence for her answer.

Melli kept quiet to think but gently stretching her arms a little. Before she spoke, her stomach rumbled a little to make her blush light pink, embarrised.

"How about we get something to eat if that works or find a town near by." she said.

"Sure, and it sounds like you're hungry. I ate a little bit before I came here, but I'm still hungry so I can eat. I'll pay for the meal."

I walked over and extended my hand to help her up with a smile. I continued to speak gently.

"Let's go get somethin' yummy!"

Melli looked at Utena suprised at this but gently smiled a little. Taking her hand, she got up but gently got her belongings off the grass and the two swords of the light and darkness dragon to hang on her back.

"I'm ready now but thank you."she gently said, bowing her head in respect to her for the kindness.

I smiled and then started to walk away towards the direction of town and out of this enclosed area. I looked back and spoke softly...

"Well, are you coming?"

"Oh, yeah I am. Please wait for me." Melli said while hurried near Utena to be by her side but stops spotting the small little town but she then looked at Utena with a small shy smile then at the town.

"Is there anything special you want?"

I did not deter my gaze to look at her, I kept walking forward, looking forward as I asked her this, kindness gleaming in my eyes. I was affable, this was true, but, there was something about this town I didn't trust. I'm sure we'll be fine. ^^

When I stood up now, she'd finally realize how tall I was compared to herself whom was older but shorter. As I walked, I led with my shoulders, a method of walking normally seen by males. The epaulette on both of my shoulders seemed to sway with my body a little bit. I was truly regal, and to someone like Melli, I should hope, the true vision of a prince.

melli walked next to Utena but was suprised at how she walked. At her time of being a princess, she was shown of how girls walk and boys walked but when meeting her new friend Utena, she was impressed to see anyone be that way.

"it could be anything, because I travel all the time, it can be anything but can I help pay for them too?"she asked quietly but felt others eyes on the two.
