First topic message reminder :

The grass and trees moved gently in the cool wind but had waterdrops on them to make them shiny like diamonds the rain last night. Under a large oak tree, melli was meditating with eyes closed, trying to focus of all around her of light and darkness, She felt the warm sun rays beaming down on the land and her hair gently moving in the wind but she's used to it. After a bit, she slowly open her black eyes to look around now, seeing the wide grassland but she was thinking of her memories of her life now.

"I wonder if she's okay."

I think they've suffered enough. I snapped and the rain outside stopped, everything seemed to be dripping wet. The clouds disappeared from the sky and the sun was back to shining its bright light once more. I smiled, as I held her, my feet remaining stagnant.

melli kept sleeping wiile a bit of her hair got in front of her face.In her dreams, weapons clashed from melli and her mom's weapons till it stopped,making the twins see their or the queen look down at younger but tired melli. She didn't speak but gently smiled. 'good job melli...you passed your test..'she said, hearing melli's cheering and hugs her since this was her first test but had to pass her papa but the dream changed to a new scene a few days during the second trial she had to do.

I was becoming quite bored, and so I began to hum a tune while holding onto her and waiting for her to wake once again. She seemed so innocent and young when she slept, even though she was older than myself. Well, never judge a book by its cover I guess. Or a woman by her age.

melli kept sleeping but gently shifted a bit. The younger melli kept training all afternoon with her mom but as the ski's grew dark, a messenger came to the queen, telling her news of something to cancel and told melli to head to bed. The dream changed showing her younger self crying of her mom telling her of her papa. Gently stroking her hair, the queen looked at the window, a tear falling off her cheek. before more is shown, the dream disappears to wake her up but felt tears on her face.

Our bodies are still firmly pressed against each other as I continued to support her by her waist. My shirt around my right shoulder was somewhat damp now because she had been crying. But, as she began to wake, I waited for her to pick her head up so I could wipe the tears and greet her with a smile.

"Are you alright?"

I asked softly.

bic:melli blinks, sniffs as she tried to calm down but didn't want anyone seeing her this way. Being calm, melli lifts her head to utena.

"I'm okay utena. sorry for passing out on you."she said quietly.

"No, it's fine. It's completely okay with me. You were in good hands while you slept, so, no worries. Anyway, how was your nap?"

I couldn't comprehend why she was crying, perhaps a bad dream? That would lead to her having a bad nap. Well, even so, I gently wiped away her tears and asked the question softly and genuinely, being there for her.

bic:melli kept quiet while looking calm but her tears were slowly stopping now to make her look quiet. She didn't want to worry her or anything with her crying because it won't help.

"it was alright. it was just a little nightmare.."she said more quiet.

"Well if it helps, I'll hold you till you feel better. I've always found someone's arms comforting."

I continued to hold her softly to me, and dried her tears as she cried them quietly. A nightmare that upset her, I won't pry, I will be here for her.

bic:melli kept crying while trying to stop her tears but looked down at the ground. She hated being weak but it was nice to how utena was being nice to her but felt happy a bit to feeling a bit better.

I embraced her with a hug and smiled, laughing a little bit.

"It's okay. I know you feel weak and incompetent because these nightmares keep upsetting you, scaring you, all of that. But, like I said, I'm here for you to run to anytime. I'm your best friend and that you can count on, Mel. And I understand the feeling of being weak more than you could ever know, but, I've become strong. You will do the same thing with time, and until then, as your friend, I can be your strength."

Where was all this coming from? I didn't know, I just seemed to feel compassion for Melli. I didn't know why, I suppose it was because we had so much in common.

bic:melli kept quiet while crying but just felt bad. She never knew that utena is this nice but she's glad to that and was thinking of saying a secret.

"um, utena? thanks for being nice to me...but I have to tell you something......of a secret."she said.

I smiled and looked her in the eyes, now seeing she wasn't quite as flustered about this as she was before. The gleam in my eyes changed to curiosity.

"before then, remember when you thought that I was a princess.....well It's true. I'm a real princess."she said.

"You're being completely honest with me, telling me this about you and your family and your past, while I still have secrets kept from you. But, at least that solves the mystery of why you were so beautiful and not royal."

I chuckled a little bit, letting go of the hold on her waist and walking over to the dusty furniture, being careful of the swords and sighing, taking off the hat I had put back on my head from before, letting my hair flow freely once more. I unbuttoned my top to leave it open and show the white undershirt, a tank top I had on beneath it. I looked up at her with my innocent blue eyes from the couch I was sitting on and spoke softly, breaking the silence.

"My turn to be honest, completely with you then. I have no memory, no material memory, of my family or of my parents or anything. You see, I was orphaned at a young age, and that's why I don't possess anything but this rose ring a prince gave to me when I was younger. He rode upon a white horse and told me, "Little one growing up alone in such sorrow, don't ever lose that strength and nobility you possess." And then he gave me this ring, and I've worn it ever since, never took it off. It's a rose crest, so I'm told. But, I was adopted by the king that is my father now. And you see, I have yet to tell him I am a girl, but, I think he'll accept me no matter what. I can usually sense other people's reactions before they happen, and he'll be shocked but, fine with it. I guess I made a sorta promise to that prince that day, that I would grow up to be one, just like him. And save from their sorrows,people. And of course, princesses. But, that's a given. I was so inspired, I wanted to be like him, I guess my dream came true, but, I always worry how much longer it's going to last, ya know?"

I sighed and played with my ring on my finger, never taking it off once. I looked at it and then smiled, sighing in contentment, chuckling a little.

"Maybe I'll meet my princess someday.."

"Well I know your past, and you know mine. You are a guardian with those trusted glowing swords and I'm a witch. We have a lot of unique things about ourselves, it seems. And I know it'll happen someday, I will keep hope alive."

I nodded and smiled, then stopping the playing with my ring. I buttoned upon my shirt once more and left my hat off.

"it's true. I know it will but I'm happy we met today utena...I really am."she said with a smile and eyes closed. She never wanted to lose her as a friend after today, gently putting the light and darkness crest away of her family.

melli looked at utena a bit suprised then begins giggling like a little girl, eyes closed too. Melli was happy to be able to feel this happy in one day and never wants it to end for her. It's like a dream of her having another big sister like flow and lucy but in the end, she didn't care.

I snapped my fingers and suddenly my formed changed as did my voice to that of a boy's. I laughed. It was only pure fun.
